Resident Company

Under the artistic leadership of Ekundayo Bandele, Hattiloo Theatre features the work of some of the finest artsits working today, from established professionals to exciting new talents. Their collective and individual expertise enhances the theatre-going experience for all Hattiloo audiences, whether they're performing classic Broadway staples or original masterpieces home-grown right here at Hattiloo.

Tony Anderson

A seasoned actor, Tony has performed throughout the region. Credits include Ms. Evers Boys (Playhouse on the Square), Joe Turner's Come & Gone (Bynum - Hattiloo), and Sisters of the Cloth (actor - Bluff City Tri-Art). He has been with Hattiloo since its first season.

 

Ekundayo Bandele

Ekundayo has peformed and directed across the United States. Credits include Judas Hands (playwright), If Scrooge was a Brother (playwright), Topdog Underdog (Booth), Fences (director). He is Hattiloo's founding artsitic director.

 

A.J. Bernard

A.J. is a college student majoring in musical theatre. Credits include Purlie (actor - Playhouse on the Square), Mahalia (Director - Hattiloo), and The Wiz (Tin Man - Hattiloo). He has been with Hattiloo since its first season.

 

Angela Bowen

Angela is an experienced stage manager and lighting/sound technician. Her stage managing credits include Topdog/Underdog (Hattiloo), Joe Turner's Come and Gone (Hattiloo), and A Raisin in the Sun (Hattiloo). She has been with Hattiloo since its second season.

 

Emma Crystal

Emma has performed in several tours throughout the U.S. and Europe. Credits include Dreamgirls (actor - U.S. Tour), Sophisticated Ladies (actor - U.S. tour), and Last of the Red Hot Lovers (Elaine - Hattiloo). She has been with Hattiloo since its first season.

 

Nia Lopez

Nia is certified in acting for television and film from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Credits include For Colored Girls... (Brown - Hattiloo) and The Wiz (ensemble - Hattiloo). She has been with Hattiloo since its second season.

 

T. C. Sharpe

Trained in Los Angeles, T.C. has performed on nearly every stage in Memphis. Credits include Master Harold and the Boys (actor - Playhouse on the Square), Fences (Troy Maxson - Hattiloo), and Joe Turner's Come & Gone (Seth Holly - Hattiloo). He has been with Hattiloo since its second season.

 

Patricia Smith

Patricia began her theatre career in Knoxville, TN, with a traveling troupe. Credits include Fences (Rose - Hattiloo), For Colored Girls (director - Hattiloo), and A Raisin in the Sun (director - Hattiloo). She has been with Hattiloo since its second season.

 
Kristie Steele

Kristie received an Ostrander Award nomination for Leading Actress in Crumbs from the Table of Joy (Alexis - Playhouse on the Square). Additional credits include A Raisin in the Sun (Benitha - Hattiloo) and The Colored Musuem (ensemble - Hattiloo). She has been with Hattiloo since its first season.

 

Bertram Williams, Jr.

Bertram is a college student majoring in business. Credits include I Ain't Yo' Uncle (ensemble - Hattiloo), Fences (Lyons - Hattiloo), and Joe Turner's Come & Gone (Jeremy - Hattiloo). He has been with Hattiloo since its first season.
