A STROLL DOWN BLACK BROADWAY

A Stroll Down Black Broadway is Hattiloo Theatre’s signature fundraiser. It’s an evening of multiple, 15-minute thematic performances that happen simultaneously, four times over the course of the night. Enjoy food, cocktails, and live music between each performance. The evening ends with more cocktails and socializing, a second live band, and a dance floor for you to boogie the night away.

In Season 12, we will convert the entire theatre to reflect the music and dance crazes of the Civil Rights Movement for our next ‘Stroll’ – Saturday, February 17, 2018, 6p – 11p.

FAQs

IS A STROLL DOWN BLACK BROADWAY A ‘FULL’ PRODUCTION?
No. It’s not a ‘full’ production. It’s a fundraiser during which you will enjoy three 15-minute theme- inspired performances.

WHAT ARE THE PERFORMANCES?
In the Black Box Theatre actors perform a dramatic scene. There’s a concert on one side of the Main Theatre, and a dance performance on the other.

AND EACH ONE LASTS 15-MINUTES?
Yep. And they all happen at the same time.

SO HOW WILL I GET TO SEE ALL OF IT?
At 7p you can stroll into the Black Box and watch the actors. At 7:35p you can stroll into one side of the Main Theatre, and at 8:10p you can stroll to the other side of the Main Theatre and experience the dancers.

DO I NEED A TICKET TO GO BACK IN A SECOND TIME?
Nope. Each 15-minute performance is first-stroll-in-first-sit-down.

OKAY. SAY I DON’T WANT TO WATCH IT A SECOND TIME. WHAT’S HAPPENING BETWEEN THE 15-MINUTE SHOWS?
We transform the entire theatre to fit each theme. Waiters will serve you, and there will be a live band in the lobby. And you get two complimentary drinks with each ticket.
