COVID-19 Strategy

We are excited to announce that by strictly following Shelby County Health Department’s safety guidelines, Hattiloo has reopened to the public. We are now offering a limited number of box-seats that are curtained on three-sides with plexiglass fronts.

We have curated a season of 3 one-woman shows, each of which will run for four weeks, with performances on Fridays at 7:30p, and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00p. Click the Season 14.5 button to review the line-up.

We look forward to welcoming you again to Hattiloo in fulfillment of our mission to develop a Black theatre that is accessible to, relevant to, and reflective of a multicultural community.

Safety & Health Policies

MASKS REQUIRED FOR ALL
Because we care about your health, masks are required for guests and staff throughout the theatre. Your mask must cover your nose and mouth and fit snugly around your face and chin. Neck gaiters, open-chin bandanas and masks with vents or exhalation valves are not acceptable at this time. If needed, masks are available to purchase for just $1 each.

SOCIAL DISTANCING STANDARDS
Please remember to maintain distance before, during and after the play. Follow the directional signs and the reminders posted throughout the theatre for guidance.

PRIVATE BOX SEATING
The theatre has 10 private boxes with four seats each. Only people who quarantine together are admitted into the same box. Each box is curtained on three sides and has plexiglass on the front. Each box is at least 6′ from the other, and 8′ from the stage.

PERFORMANCES
We are producing only one-person shows, with the actor in a face shield. We aren’t producing any musicals.

ENHANCED CLEANING PROCEDURES
Before and after every performance, the theatre, lobby, and restrooms are disinfected by a C150 disinfectant fogger. Air purifiers are strategically positioned throughout the theatre.

Only groups that quarantine together are allowed in the restroom at the same time. After a group exits the restroom, a restroom attendant will wipe down the counters and seats, and disinfectant the air, before the next group is allowed in.

NO TOUCH POLICY
We have a no-touch policy – all doors are propped open (front doors, theatre doors, restroom doors, are all open). We are not handing out any tickets or playbills. And concessions are closed.

HEALTH SCREENING
We will screen all staff and patrons for Covid-19 symptoms, upon entering the building. If a person has symptoms such as fever or cough, or have come in contact with someone with symptoms, they will not be admitted into the theatre.
