Hattiloo Theatre is celebrating 20 years of Black stories in Memphis with a special night at Overton Park Shell. Join us as we bring the Culture Box experience to the Shell through live music, comedy, spoken word, theatre, and audience participation, all leading into a celebration of where Hattiloo has been and what comes next.

For 20 years, Hattiloo Theatre has made space for Black stories, Black artists, and Black audiences in Memphis. On Saturday, September 26, we’re taking the celebration outside for a special evening at Overton Park Shell.

Keep the Light On: 20 Years of Black Stories. The Culture Continues. brings the energy of Hattiloo’s Culture Box to the Shell for one night, with live music, comedy, spoken word, theatre, and interactive moments woven throughout the evening. Guests will get a taste of Music Box, Laugh Box, Speaker Box, and Toy Box as we celebrate the artists, audiences, and stories that have shaped Hattiloo over the last 20 years.

This free concert is part of Hatti’s Birthday Week and serves as the closing celebration of Hattiloo’s 20th anniversary week.
