The Music Box is an intimate concert series featuring an eclectic lineup of Memphis artists. Performances range from bebop jazz, and soul. to rock, blues, folk, and experimental music.

This show features Kortland Whalum.

KORTLAND Whalum is a Memphis-based singer, songwriter, and actor whose career spans jazz, soul, theater, and screen. A graduate of Overton High School for the Performing Arts and Morehouse College, he has toured with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, and appeared in Hattiloo Theater productions including The Wiz, AIDA, and Porgy & Bess. A professional member of the Recording Academy, Whalum performs regularly with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra Big Band and was recently honored by the Tennessee State Senate and Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris for his artistic contributions to the community.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
