Meet us at Culture Box for Open Mic Night

The Speaker Box Slam is a spoken word competition where poets perform original work before an audience that includes a panel of audience-selected judges.

The competition runs over four consecutive weeks. One winner is selected during each of the first three weeks. On the fourth week, those three winners return to compete for the championship.

Only 10 poets may compete each week. Sign-up begins at 6:30 PM. The show starts at 7:00 PM. Each poet may perform two poems during the evening.

Performing poets get in free. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
